A week of sales has come and gone, and with it European Week of Waste Reduction. Did you get an opportunity to snap up a bargain? Between furniture sales, fabric promotions and the chance to grab that extra chair for the Christmas table there would have been something for everyone.
The European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) is an initiative promoting awareness-raising actions about sustainable resource and waste management during a single week. It encourages a wide range of audiences (public authorities, private companies, civil society as well as citizens themselves) to get involved. From reducing food waste to reducing energy usage, the opportunities to lower the amount we throw away or use to excess are always there if we choose them.
But this Friday sees a more local, more seasonal celebration in our ReStyle shop. A number of local retailers are taking part in an event that has become known as ‘Bute Friday’. On Friday 30th November over a dozen retailers will keep their doors open until 9pm, allowing shoppers to ‘shop til they drop’. From florists to clothes shops, bars and restaurants to salons; shopkeepers will be keeping doors open that little bit later to give people the chance to do some Christmas shopping after their work.
And at ReStyle we are marking this special occasion by bringing you some very special items. We endeavour at all times to bring you items of the highest quality, always ensuring that our high standards are kept. This Friday you will see some unique pieces to mark the start of the festive season. Some will be expertly upcycled by our furniture team, transformed from something different altogether such as this ottoman. Others will have had a little TLC to return them to their former glory.
Come on by this Friday and stop in to see what’s on offer.
